The Luckiest

I don't get many things right the first time
In fact, I am told that a lot
Now I know all the wrong turns, the stumbles and falls
Brought me here

And where was I before the day
That I first saw your lovely face?
Now I see it everyday
And I know

That I am
I am
I am
The luckiest

What if I'd been born fifty years before you
In a house on a street where you lived?
Maybe I'd be outside as you passed on your bike
Would I know?

And in a white sea of eyes
I see one pair that I recognize
And I know

That I am
I am
I am
The luckiest

I love you more than I have ever found a way to say to you

Next door there's an old man who lived to his nineties
And one day passed away in his sleep
And his wife; she stayed for a couple of days
And passed away

I'm sorry, I know that's a strange way to tell you that I know we belong
That I know

That I am
I am
I am
The luckiest
(Ben Folds | The Luckiest)

I am so lucky to have you in my life Kelly.
I love you more and more every day.
It's hard to imagine that I could love anything more.
Thank you for all that you do for me.
For all that you do for our family.
For being such an amazing father to our boys.
For holding the priesthood.
For working so that I can stay at home and be with the boys.
For making sacrifices for our family.
For being a good friend.
For being you.
For never giving up on me.
For putting up with all my craziness.
For encouraging me to try new things.
And more than anything,
Thank you for loving me.
 I love you!

Thankful

Every night after we get the kids ready for bed we always sing a few songs and then let each of the boys say their own prayers with us in the family room.  The night before last Carter was saying his prayer and he said, "thank you for the resurrection and thank you that Jesus could live again."  Neither Kelly or I prompted him to say it, he did it all on his own.  I was instantly in tears.  It was so sweet.  I wonder every day if the boys really understand and know the importance of the things we teach them about the gospel.  In this instance, it proved to me that they don't need to fully understand all of it.  They feel the spirit just like we do and through that they can understand that it's important.  Important enough that they should thank our Heavenly Father for it.  I am so thankful for my family and the opportunity I have to be a mother.  I learn every day from my boys and I can honestly say that my testimony has grown because of their sweet examples.
