Heart Attacking
The boys wanted to get Kelly something for Valentines Day this year. When we were at the store they saw balloons, and wanted to get them for him. So I decided that we'd get them, and cut out a bunch of hearts and heart attack his car while he was at work.
We drove up to Salt Lake and stopped at the Maverik on Foothill and bought him a Diet Dew and some cookies that he could enjoy on the way home too. When we got to his work, I called one of his co-workers and asked him where Kelly had parked. He wasn't sure, so we looked on every level of the parking garage for his car. It was on the very last level we checked. Go figure.
I gave the boys some tape and a bunch of hearts and they taped them all over his car and on the windows while I tied the balloons to the outside of his car. We also had a bunch of little hearts that I let them throw all over inside the car too. Landon and Carter loved doing it. They especially loved it when other people would walk by and give them high fives or say something to them. They thought it was hilarious!
In our hurry to get it done and get out of there before he was finished for the day, I forgot to put his drink and cookies in the car, so he didn't get those until he got home. Kelly said that he walked right past his car thinking "some poor sap is gonna hate cleaning that up" and then he realized that he was that "poor sap!"
It was a great activity to do with the boys. They loved doing it and were so happy to see their Dad when he got home that night. We'll definitely do it again!

Valentines Day Party
Today at school Landon and Carter had a Valentines Day Party. They each got to make a valentine for each person in their class with a sucker attached and take them to pass out. They chose Toy Story valentines from the store and each of them told me which ones they wanted to give to each person in their class. It was so cute seeing the ones they would choose for the boys compared to the girls.
They were also focusing on the color pink for the month and she told them to wear pink to class. So I went out and bought each of them a new pink shirt (and one for Mason too). They were really excited to get to school today.
When I picked the boys up from school they had so much to tell me. They each told me about all the valentines they got from everyone and were really excited about all the candy. Mrs. Nicole had them make a valentine bag for all their cards to go into. It was so cute!
I'm happy that the boys have been able to do preschool this year. I know that they have learned a lot and they enjoy school. I think this year was better for them socially, than academically, and I hear that's normal. It still amazes me the things they learn every day. Things that I would never think to teach them at their age. I'm really glad that we made some sacrifices so that they were able to go this year.
