Blessed

We blessed Mason on January 3. Kelly gave him a beautiful blessing. In the blessing he told Mason that his name was chosen after a lot of compromise and that in life he should learn to know when to, and when not not compromise. Unfortunately, I was stressed out due to the nature of the day, and really didn't hear/remember much other than that. I know in my heart though, that the blessing was everything Mason was supposed to be told.

After sacrament meeting we along with our family and friends came back to our house and had a small luncheon. We served pulled pork sandwiches, and salads, and some really yummy deserts. Thanks to everyone who helped out with the food.

In all of the chaos, I completely spaced taking any pictures until my friend Amy was ready to go and pulled out her camera to snap a few shots with Mason. I swore to myself that I would be better and take pictures of Mason's blessing day, because I was so mad at myself for not getting good pictures when we blessed Landon and Carter. Yet, once again, I failed. Even worse than I did at Landon and Carter's blessing. The only pictures I have from the day were the ones that Amy took.

So on the 31st, I finally put Mason back into his blessing outfit and took a few pictures of him on my bed. Still none of him with his Daddy or Grandfathers, or Uncles, but at least I got a few of him.

He's such a cute little stinker!

Didn't I send you some pictures of you holding him? I could have sworn I emailed them to you. If I didn't let me know and I will get them to you so you can replace some of me with ones of you :)

Amy you're so on top of it, I'm sure that you did. In fact I think you gave me a cd with pictures on it. I'm just out of brain cells, and have no idea where I've put any of it. Thanks for always being there to save my bacon though. I ♥ ya!

Girl, I am sure Jason would LOVE it if I forgot to take pictures at an event. I just noticed that Stella's picture file on my computer has 6,000+ pictures in it. Seriously. So don't beat yourself up because you could be a pictue Nazi like me and everyone thinks you're nuts.

A tip for the future baby bessings and important events in your life - Spend $70 and buy a voice recorder. I bought one for Stella's baby blessing and recorded the whole thing by dropping it in Jason's shirt pocket. I was able to listen to it and write it down word for word to put in her baby book. Sooooo glad I had it. Plus you can burn the recordings to CDs. You might already have thought of this but if not, Iwold recommend it for sure.

Glad things went well with your big day. Pulled pork sandwiches sound SO good right now. Funny thing is I just ate a whole plate of nachos like 2 hours ago. Welcome to preggo land.

Love you!!!
